the blind flight is coming back

Hello all.

I know that it has been a very long time since I have written and I still hope that this blog still has a following, even with my lengthy absence.

For any of you who have been following me on bandcamp, you already know that this has been a very difficult year.

For those who don’t follow my musical endeavors, we found out in June that my little brother had stage 4 kidney cancer. I went down to visit him in July and when I returned, I composed an album called Look Unto the Heavens as my way to capture emotions and thoughts I had about the visit.

That album, which has more complete notes and a review, can be found here.

In November of this year, my brother died from his terminal illness just one week before Thanksgiving. When I returned, I wrote a follow up to look unto the Heavens, an album called Transition which you can find here.

After talking with some of the people who are on modul303, I have decided to bring the Blind Flight back to the airwaves, in the form of a podcast with a couple of significant changes.

The most notable of these is that the program will now only be a 2 hour podcast instead of the sprawling 5 hours that it had been for many years.

I don’t know exactly when the first program will air but it will probably be sometime in January of 2018 and the theme of the first show will be snow and since there is so much music composed around this theme, it will likely be a two part program.

Though I’d like to continue posting links and playlists here as I have done before, I don’t know how realistic that is so I would invite you to follow the main site at http://www.modul303.com/?lang=en

That’s for the English page so for other languages, you can follow http://www.modul303.com/

Please have a look at my bandcamp page if you recently haven’t as there is a ton of new music that I’ve released in 2017, including a 12 volume installation called The Full Moon series.

I hope that you had an abundantly merry Christmas and if you don’t celebrate, I hope you had a fantastic day and I wish each of you a very happy new year.
