looking ahead to 2017

Hi there.

I wanted to give you guys an idea of some of the projects that I have planned in 2017 and some things that I’m considering.

On January first, the year will begin with noise from Wings of an Angel Sevenism and myself under the Nox Intempesta project with an album called Argument Lens Decoded.

I am planning a full moon series of 12 long-form ambient tracks to be released on the day of each full moon, starting on January 12th with the Old Moon.

Also, in January, I am planning the release of two very different albums of psychedelic, , ambient and Avant Gard music where I interpret the early music of Pink Floyd.

Later on in the year, I am planning to release my third collaboration with MetaDronos, a 3 cd set called “The End”.

Sevenism and I, under the Nox Intempesta project, have a few albums coming out, including one for Good Friday and perhaps something on a Friday the 13th, of which there are two so I don’t know if it’s going to be in January or October, we still have to talk about that one.

I am considering the possibility of a volume 2 of the Desert Nocturnes (ambient Excursions for the Season of Lent) but using a bit of a different approach. If I decide to do that, I will release it in 4 volumes of 10 tracks over the course of Lent and not as one huge 40-track release. I think that may be partly why that album, though it was in the more popular style of my drone music, didn’t get the attention and exposure that other albums have gotten. It was just too much music for one release, totaling just over 24 hours.

There will also be the usual releases of Drone excursions, planned contributions to various compilations, explorations of noise under my own name as well as the infamous Spank hookers project and in December, I am planning to release a set of albums on each of the 4 Sundays of Advent.

I would like to thank you for your continued support of my music. I appreciate all of you and hope that 2017 will be a kinder year for all of us.

Have a very merry Christmas and a happy prosperous new year.

P.S. There is one more release scheduled for this year, an album to come out on December 31st, appropriately titled

Missa pro defunctis (Requiem for 2016).
