Thank you for stopping by our house for a cup of coffee or even hot chocolate. Please ignore the mess of the children’s toys all over or the dirty dishes in the sink from the teenagers who were cooking at 1:30 this morning. Their loud talking woke me up and Cameron was up at 5:30 this morning so I really need my coffee today.
If we were having coffee I’d want to hear all about your week and find out how things have been going with you. What sort of new projects have you been working on, how’s your job going, etc.?
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that it was an honor to be interviewed for the Ambient Online podcast which was released earlier this week. The link is https://soundcloud.com/s1gnsofl1fe/ambient-online-podcast-39-featuring-scott-lawlor
If we were having coffee, I’d let you know that we’ve had quite a bit of ice and snow, amounts that are probably not normal for this part of Texas and that school was canceled for a few days this week.
The kids were cooped up in the house for most of the week partly because of the cancelation of school and also because they were sick for part of that time.
I hung out with a friend yesterday while the kids were in school and that was very nice. I don’t get out of the house nearly as much as I would like or as much as I feel is good for me so when I do get out, it’s good to have interaction with people who are taller than three feet.
Finally, if we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I wrote a couple of new tracks this week, in spite of not having a lot of time to myself or quiet without the kids. If you’re not in the mood to be scared of feel unsettled, you might want to skip the links. however, if you’re a brave soul, check out the following links. I don’t know how long they’ll be on sound cloud as I use this platform mainly for floating new ideas to my audience so tracks get circulated quite a bit. Since I am posting these here, they will be available until the next time we have coffee and maybe I’ll have some new music to share with you.
I hope you have a good week ahead and I’ll look forward to seeing you next week when we can, again, share a cup of my favorite drink.
On this week’s edition of the program, I will be featuring music from the Projekt record label and playing tracks by Forrest Fang, Black Tape for a Blue Girl, Eric Wollo and Dirk Serries. The featured cd for this program will be disk 1 of Dynamic Stillness by Steve Roach.
This program will not be made available for download at the request of the label.
Please join me at 9 PM central time on www.stillstream.fm/ and thanks for listening.
It was a distinct honor and privilege to talk to Chris who hosts the ambient online podcast and to be interviewed for the program.
Here’s the link and thanks for listening.

Hello and thanks for coming over to share a cup of coffee or tea or even hot chocolate with me.
If we were having coffee, I’d ask you how your week was and hope that you’re in the mood for some light background music because I have a selection that goes great with coffee on a quiet morning.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I finished up a track for the ambientonline.org compilation volume 4 as well as worked on a collaboration for the same compilation with Metadronos, a dark ambient artist from Poland.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I wish it was still cold outside because Winter and autumn are my favorite seasons and I’m guessing, form the chatter I’ve read on twitter, this fact puts me in a minority on social media.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that Cameron started going to school at the same place where his sister is going and he seems to enjoy it. It’s good for the kids to get out and socialize and learn new things.
If we were having coffee, I’d mention that I was interviewed by the host of the ambient online podcast and it was the first time I was ever interviewed as an ambient artist. It was a lot of fun and I’ll post a link to the episode on the blog when it becomes available.
Finally, if we were having coffee, I’d mention that I’m happy about a new album that I’ve been working on for a while, a collection of 5 songs written for 5 different women that I’ve known throughout my life. Like with a lot of these projects, I stepped away from the album after I was done with it in the interest of pursuing other collaborations and solo works but after listening to the playback yesterday, I can say that I’m really happy with this album and that I hope to release it sometime in 2015.
as always, thanks for stopping by and sharing some moments with me. Have a good weekend and a good week ahead and I’m sure we’ll meet again next weekend to share another cup and catch up each other’s lives.
On tonight’s program, I will be playing tracks from three different one sample dares found on the ambientonline.org forum.
You’ll hear music by Ahornberg, Dave Dorgan, nadaRobot, Tuonela, Metadronos, Cosmic Lettuce, Oxebe, remst8, lighthugger, their teeth to points, david maestas, rabbitsquirrel, ambientsketchbook, Falls A Star, your host and I’ll be playing part three of Earlyguard’s Nachtgedanken.
Please join me at 9 PM central time on www.stillstream.fm for a journey from your mind to the outer edges of the galaxy.
Thanks for listening.
