there’s still time to contribute tracks for the shoe Maker Levy 9 compilation

Hello.

This is a reminder that there’s still a month for you to submit your tracks to the Shoemaker Levy 9 compilation on the Aural Films label. We’ve had some fantastic contributions so far and if you’re inspired by this cosmic event, we’d love to hear the results of your work.

Here’s the information about the compilation and how to submit your original material.

This is a call to all ambient and electronic musicians to submit their tracks to a compilation which will be released on the Aural Films label on July 16th 2014. On that date in 1994, one of the most spectacular cosmic events in the history of our solar system began to unfold. A comet, discovered on March 24th, 1993, which was of immense proportions began slamming into the surface of Jupiter, creating everlasting changes to the enormous planetary giant.

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of this cosmic event, I am inviting those who are interested to render their own audio interpretations of the events that unfolded in the skies over that week in July of 1994.

Here’s a Wikipedia entry on Shoemaker Levy 9 but there are many other sources and some video clips which can also serve as inspiration to fuel your creativity.

Files must be submitted in aiff, flac, or wav file format not to exceed 600 MB. Please, email your track(s) along with the artist name. track title, artist site URL, image (optional) and file download URL (no attachments) to s4grecs@gmail.com no later than July 7th, 2014.

Thank you for participating in the audio interpretation of the most significant planetary event in recent cosmic history.
